Billy Gewin is an Atlanta based singer, songwriter, performer and studio musician. He's worked with local groups like The Geckos, Van Gogh, Jefferson Thomas, Sugarland, King Friday, Nillah, Miracle Vendor, The Whiskey Theory, and many others. His music is influenced by artists such as Billy Bragg, Shawn Colvin, Steely Dan, Ben Folds, Lucinda Williams, XTC, Sting, The Beatles, and Paul Westerberg. Billy is currently working on a follow-up to his 2001 release, which was titled "Good, Smart Bear" and plays shows regularly in the southeast. His music ranges from folk to alt country, pop and progressive rock.
